John M. McDougall-Goulet

​​John is a Red River Métis from Winnipeg and a proud member of both L'Union Nationale Métisse Saint-Joseph du Manitoba and the Métis Nation of British Columbia.

John’s career spans over 25 years in the Arts Production Industry, particularly in publishing and media production. He has held numerous senior positions, most recently serving as a Story and Executive Producer in television production. He is currently the Executive Vice President of IndigeKin Productions, where he continues to support Indigenous led storytelling and content creation.

He is also a co-founder of the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group (IBPPG), an organization committed to elevating professional standards in independent publishing. Since its inception in 2007, the IBPPG has hosted an international book awards program, with John serving on its panel of judges.

While residing in Vancouver, John served a two-year term on the TransLink Citizens Committee, contributing to key improvements in the region’s public transit infrastructure.

Outside of his professional pursuits, John is a dedicated yoga practitioner and instructor, having trained under numerous luminaries in the discipline.

Coast Hospice

Providing compassionate care to individuals facing end-of-life and their families since 1987. Whether at the hospital, in your home, or in one of the four temporary hospice rooms at Silverstone Care Centre, we are here to support you. We also offer programs and services for grief support, bereavement, and advance care planning, with the assistance of trained community volunteers. In partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, we are working towards opening the Coast’s first dedicated residential hospice in 2026.
