We feel the love, Sunshine Coast!
Approximately 60% of our revenue comes from our community’s generous donors. Without this critical funding our trained volunteers and small staff team would not be able to work towards meeting the growing and changing needs of Sunshine Coast residents.
Thank you community donors
We are grateful for all donations—small and large—and for the residents who attend our fundraising events, who learn and talk about our work with family and friends, and who engage in shaping the future of hospice services and facilities in our community. We are also honoured to accept donations in celebration of a special event, in memoriam and legacy gifts.
Warm thanks to those who have donated $500 or more in the past fiscal year (ending March 31, 2021), either as one-time donations or as monthly donors:

Thank you funders
Each year, Coast Hospice submits grant applications and competes for available funding from various philanthropic organizations. These grants help top up what we receive from the community and represent as much as 40% of the critical funds needed for our work with volunteer recruitment, training and coordination in support of the development and delivery of programs and services offered to residents at no cost. We are grateful to have received grants from:
Sunshine Coast Regional District
Town of Gibsons
District of Sechelt
Government of Canada “New Horizons” Grant
BC Gaming Grant
Sunshine Coast Credit Union
Sunshine Coast Division of Family Practice
Sunshine Coast Foundation
Sunshine Coast Health Care Auxiliary
Ananda Fund of the Marin Foundation
BC Centre for Palliative Care
Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller Vancouver Commandery
Thank you sponsors
The Hike for Hospice annual campaign is the main fundraiser for Coast Hospice. Each year, our business community steps up to ensure we meet our targets and raise the funds to continue offering volunteer training, programs and services for residents.
