Ways to create your legacy
Legacy giving is easy to do, it’s just about finding the option(s) that are right for you. Some options for planning a legacy to Sunshine Coast Hospice include:
A charitable bequest (sum of money, an asset, or a portion of your estate) through your will
An endowment for Sunshine Coast Hospice through Sunshine Coast Foundation
Naming Hospice as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF, Pension or TFSA
Gifting your life insurance policy to Sunshine Coast Hospice
A gift through your personal estate
A gift of publicly-traded securities, such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds

Leaving a gift through your will
If you are ready to meet with a lawyer and leave a gift in your will to Sunshine Coast Hospice, you can use this sample wording:
“I give Sunshine Coast Hospice Society (Canadian charitable registration number BN # 86378 8360 RR0001) ____% of the residue of my estate [or the sum of $_______.] This gift is to be used for such purposes and designs as deemed appropriate by the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society Board of Directors.”
To leave a gift in your will to Hospice, you will require our legal name, address and charitable business number.
