John M. McDougall-Goulet

​​John has a diverse background with an emphasis on developing procedures, operational business systems, and training manuals which he has done with a number of organizations and businesses; including a personal development training company; Fairmont Hotels and Resorts (formerly Canadian Pacific Hotels); and for the bulk of his career with FabJob Inc, a boutique publishing firm, at which he served as the Vice-President of Operations. In his semi-retirement John continues to provide consultancy services, predominantly in the field of privacy compliance, and remains as Privacy Officer for three different businesses.

John was a co-founder of the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group (IBPPG), an organization that aims to promote professional standards in independent book publishing. In 2007 the IBPPG established an annual international book awards program. John continues to serve on a panel of judges for that competition.

While living in Vancouver John served a two year term with the Translink Citizens Committee, a group which was responsible for the implementation of numerous improvements to the transit network. 

An active yogi for several decades in the last few years John has begun teaching yoga in addition to continuing studies under many luminaries in the field.
