Hospice gets Kissed by Thelma & Louise
On November 17th an open house on Cowrie Street was held by Kiss Home Décor and Thelma & Louise Collection and they both kindly donated a percentage of their sales to the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society.

Organizations Supporting Each Other
Members of the Sunshine Coast Dragon Boat Club presented a cheque for $1,000 to the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society (in-service meeting) on November 8th . The funds were raised at their annual fashion show fundraiser held on October 19th at the Sechelt Seniors Center. Several dragon boat team members are also hospice volunteers and one member was supported by a hospice volunteer when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Sunshine Coast Hospice marks Canada Day

Lower Mainland Gathering of Hospice Organizations
Pictured below are eight of the nine members of the Sunshine Coast Hospice who attended a conference on August 26th 2010 hosted and organized by the Chilliwack Hospice Society as their first one day conference in partnership with other Lower Mainland Hospice Societies. The workshop was attended by 150 Hospice volunteers from throughout the Lower Mainland. The Keynote speaker, Glenda Standeren co-author of “Choosing to Smile” (www.choosingtosmile.com) was an inspiration to all. Kelowna Hospice has offered to host next years workshop.
